An engraving depicting the Nannau Oak shortly before it fell on 13 July 1813. Howel Sele, Lord of Nannau, was killed during a hunting quarrel with his cousin Owen Glendower, and his body was hidden in the hollow trunk of the tree. Dated 19th century
