General Xie Puyuan and He's Camp's Defeat of the
General Xie Puyuan (1904-1941). Xie was from Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province. The August 13th incident occurred on August 13th, 1937, it was the beginning and fuse of the Battle of Songhu in the Sino-Japanese War. On October 28th of 1937, he led a military camp known as the 800 strong men. They guarded the Sihang Warehouse by the Suzhou River to cover the retreat of the main force, fighting against tens of thousands of Japanese army, killing more than 200 enemies
