In January, Ren Bishi attended the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai and was elected as a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee. In March, the Party Central Committee sent him to work in the Central Soviet Area of Jiangxi Province, serving as a member of the Central Bureau of the Soviet Area and Minister of Organization.
