Monument of General Kim Jwa-jin: an independence
Kim Chwa-jin or Kim Jwa-jin (1889 - 1930) was a Korean general and an independence activist. He had recognized and fought against Japanese imperialism from an early stage. In 1919 Kim established the Northern military administration office army (??????). General Kim leads the Korean Independence Army in the Battle of Cheongsanri. The battle was fought over six days in October 1920 between the Imperial Japanese Army and Korean armed groups in a densely wooded region of eastern Manchuria called Qingshanli
