Students Protest at the Bund for the Anti-American
On June 5th, the originally-planned protest by several universities for the Anti-American Support for Japan Movement was not viable as the campuses were surrounded by military police. Students assembled and protested within their schools instead. Students from schools such as Guanghua University, St. John's University meet at the Bund to carry out the protests. The Anti-American Support for Japan Movement was a patriotic movement against the resurrection of Japanese militarism by US imperialism
