William Henry Flower (1831-1899) English surgeon and zoologist, born at Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, England. On the death of Richard Owen he was appointed Director of the Natural History Museum at South Kensington, London (1884-1898). Flower with assistants studying specimens in his study at the museum.
