Yellow Glazed Musicians

Sui or Tang Dynasty figurines of six musicians is selected from dozens of similar collections in the History Museum, with vivid expressions, and the style and glaze are similar to those of the early Tang Dynasty or earlier. The figurines are white, with a pale yellow glaze with a slight greenish tinge. The musicians all sit cross-legged on the mat with their figurines upright, or their hair is tied into a bun, or a high bun is tied on the top of the head; There are traces of brushwork on the hair, eyebrows, and eyes, and the face is dignified and rigorous. The musical instruments held by the figurines, starting from the left, the first one holds the upper part of the pipa, and the right hand plays and pulls the lower part of the pipa; the second one holds the drum with his left hand, and the right hand beats the drum shape; the third one also holds the pipa, in the same posture as the first one. The position is the same; the fourth is holding a cymbal with both hands in the shape of beating cymbals; the fifth and sixth are in the same position, both holding barrelled musical instruments, the instrument is unknown
