Audience of the Dutch with Garcia II of Kongo, 1642. The large red velvet throne was embroidered with Don Alvaro King of Kongo. The floor was covered with a magnificent Turkish carpet, and over his head hung a canopy of white satin with gold embroidery and fringe.
