Bookcase for a study, Regency style.. Large cabinet in carved wood with shelves for portfolios, globes, busts, vases, books and papers. Doors with glass windows and curtains. Handcoloured copperplate engraving from George Smith's The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Guide, Jones and Co. London, 1828. George Smith was upholsterer and furniture draughtsman to his Majesty (the Prince of Wales, later King George IV), circa 1786-1826
