Bostandji Bachi or Chief Gardener to the Sultan

Bostandji Bachi, Chief Gardener to the Sultan, Ottoman Empire. The Bostandji is a corps of bodyguards, gardeners, rowers of the Sultan's barge or caique. He wears a distinctive hat, purple coat, yellow robe and yellow boots.
