Charles Blount, 1st Earl of Devonshire, 1563-1606. English nobleman and soldier who served as Lord Deputy of Ireland under Queen Elizabeth I, and later as Lord Lieutenant of Ireland under King James I. In hat, ruff collar, doublet and cloak. Charles Blunt, Earl of Devon, Baron Mountjoy, Knight of the Garter. From a print sold by Henry Balam in Lombard Street.
