Costume of Lagorille, wig artist, one of the first Incroyables.. Costume of Lagorille, wig artist, one of the first Directoire dandies or Incroyables. He wears a jacket and waistcoat with huge lapels over a high-collar shirt, carries a large claque (cocked hat). Handcolored etching by Auguste Etienne Guillaumot Jr. from Costumes of the Directory, Rouquette, Paris, 1875. The etchings were made from designs by Eugene Lacoste and Draner after prints of the era 1795-99
