She wears a low-cut dress of nankinette cotton and puff sleeves not seen in fashion for a decade. Handcolored etching by Auguste Etienne Guillaumot Jr. from Costumes of the Directory, Rouquette, Paris, 1875. The etchings were made from designs by Eugene Lacoste and Draner after prints of the era 1795-99
