Costume of a Venetian porter or bastagio, 16th century. Men mostly from Bergamo, Brescia or Trento. He wears a thick hood and neck cover, long coarse tunic and a belt with loops of rope. Within a decorative frame engraved by H. Catenacci and Fellmann. Woodblock engraving by Gerard Seguin and E.F.
