Dancing woman on Tahiti. She wears a hat, a long gown with highly puckered ruffs of tapa attached to the back, tassels hanging from the waist, feathery pompons covering the breasts. Danseuse a Taiti (Oceanie). After John Webber's illustration A Dance in Otaheite from The Third and Final Voyage of Captain James Cook, 1784.
