Dress of the reign of William III, early in the reign of Queen Anne 1689-1707.. She wears a headdress of feathers and lace, a blue dress with lace trim, white gloves and carries a black masquerade mask. Based on a portrait of Queen Mary by Visscher, prints, Farquhar's comedies, Swift, Mrs. Thomson's description of the dress of the period in her novel The White Mask.
