Edmund Ludlow, died in exile 1693. English parliamentarian general, c.1617-1692, one of the regicides of King Charles I. With his autograph and seal. Within a frame decorated with vignettes of skull and cross bones, chains and executioner's axe, a man hanging from a gibbet at Tyburn, a condemned man on a sled, the Tower of London, Newgate Prison.
