Elizabeth Pierrepont (1721-1788), bigamist aristocrat

Elizabeth Pierrepont (1721-1788), bigamist Duchess of Kingston-upon-Hull and Countess of Bristol. Elizabeth Chudleigh married Augustus Hervey in 1744, mistress to King Frederick the Great, married Evelyn Pierrepont, 2nd Duke of Kingston, in 1769. Vignette shows her trial for bigamy in Westminster Hall in 1776. Reproduction of the Trial of the Dutchess of Kingston.
