Flat-stemmed dendrobium orchid, Dendrobium compressum. Native to Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Borneo, Java and Sumatra. Discovered in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) by Mr Nightingale and sent to the Duke of Northumberland's garden at Syon.
