Harold Godwinson captured by Guy I, Count of Ponthieu, 1064. Guy I sits on a throne in a mantle 88 as Harold II offers his sword with hilt up and the point directed at the ground 87. Beside them, an ordinary Frankish soldier in shirt, short pants (culottes) and shoes, with sword hanging from the belt 89. Taken from the Bayeux Tapestry.
