King Lothar I, 795-855, King Louis V the Do-Nothing c.966-987, and Emma of Italy, wife of Lothar III, and her son Otto. The Franks wore two short tunics that fell to the knee and were fastened by a large belt. Fig. 98 shows Emma of Italy, wife of Lothar (Lothair III, 941-986), and her son Otto, canon at Reims, who died in childhood.
