Octagonal tent room, Regency style. Drawing room decorated with a striped canopy, pelmet with tassels, crimson curtains, and crimson furniture. In the Ottoman or Turkish style decorated with gilt crescents. Handcoloured copperplate engraving from George Smith's The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Guide, Jones and Co. London, 1828. George Smith was upholsterer and furniture draughtsman to his Majesty (the Prince of Wales, later King George IV), circa 1786-1826
