Orestes, Iphigenia, Pylades, King Thoas and chorus.. Perhaps this is the moment Iphigenia recognizes Orestes in Euripides -Iphigenia in Aulis-- The painting shows a pensive Orestes, his sister Iphigenia, his friend Pylades, King Thoas and a chorus of young and old women.
