Sam House, the Patriotic Publican or Liberty Boy, died 1785. Ex-cooper and supporter of Whig politician Charles James Fox. He opened a pub called Intrepid Fox on Wardour Street. In black waistcoat and linen shirt, with bowl and tobacco pipe.
