Sophie Arnould, French soprano in the opera Pyramus and Thisbe, 1771. She is depicted in the famous costume from Act V, a mantua dress with hoop petticoats or panniers decorated with frills, pearls and ribbons. After a portrait by Louis de Carmontelle in the editor's collection.
