Stenomesson aurantiacum. Native to Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Found by plant hunter Karl Theodor Hartweg at the Hacienda of Ixo, Quito province, Peru. Mr. Hartweg's stenomesson, Stenomesson hartwegii. Handcoloured copperplate engraving by George Barclay after a botanical illustration by Sarah Drake from Edwards Botanical Register, continued by John Lindley, published by James Ridgway, London, 1844
