Thomas Hudson, 18th century London vagabond
Thomas Hudson, remarkable for his misfortunes, died 1767. Clerk from Leeds who lost his inherited fortune in the South Sea Bubble in 1720. After the death of his wife, he became a barefoot beggar wearing a rug on the streets of London.
