William Laud and Thomas Wentworth, 17th century

William Laud, Archbishop of Canterbury, 1573-1645. After a painting by Anthony van Dyke. Thomas Wentworh, 1st Earl of Stafford, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, 1593-1641. Laud gave his blessing to Stafford before his execution. From William Faithorne's set of portraits sold by Robert Peake.
