Gabrielle Ray
Gabrielle Ray (1883 - 1973), British stage actress brushing her hair and wearing pyjamas. Ray was a star of the Gaiety Theatre and was adored by fans for her beauty and dancing. At the height of her fame she was feted as the most beautiful woman in the United Kingdom but her career waned as cinema began to replace theatre. She eventually had a nervous breakdown in 1936 and spent the rest of her life in an asylum until her death in 1973
