Lady Pamela Berry

Lady Pamela Smith (1915 - 1982), younger daughter of the 1st earl of Birkenhead. In 1936 she married Hon. William Michael Berry, Baron Hartwell, and was later styled Baroness Hartwell. Served as chairperson of the Incorporated Society of London Fashion Designers and was generally acknowledged as an arbiter of good taste. Pictured here in her new house in Cadogan Place, which was furnished in ivory and pale rose, wtih Aubusson carpets, chairs covered in petit-point, and settees upholstered in flowered satin. On the white grand piano is a single, large vase filled in the modern mannner wtih pampas grass, honesty and poppy heads
