Marceline the Droll, the London Hippodrome's clown
Marceline, the popular clown at the London Hippodrome, where he famously influenced the young Charlie Chaplin when they appeared together in the Hippodrome's first pantomime, Cinderella. In 1905 he was enticed to join the New York Hippodrome where he had several successful years before circus entertainment fell out of favour
