Mrs Vernon (Irene) Castle
IRENE CASTLE (nee FOOTE) Dancer, who with her husband Vernon Castle known as America's Dancing Sweethearts'. The pair were incredibly successful and their earnings were high. Vernon was killed in a flying accident in 1918. She was a renowned leader of fashion and is pictured here in a particularly unusual theatrical costume, striking some exotic looking poses
