The launch of RMS Titanic, at Belfast on the joint birthday of its builder and his wife, Lord and Lady Pirrie, whose portraits are inset. Lord Pirrie, head of shipbuilders Harland and Wolff, and Lady Pirrie (nee Margaret Carlisle) were present at the launch along with Mr J Pierpont Morgan, American financier, whose company financed the White Star Line, owners of the Titanic
