Scenes from the Second Round of the Davis Cup tennis contest, played between Great Britain and Rumania in Torquay. This year, Britain ultimately made it through to the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Germany. Among the competitors pictured are Fred Perry (1909-1995) and G. P. "Pat" Hughes (1902-1997)
