Aug. 06, 1963 - A terrible misfortune occured in Berlin in front of 300 spectators as Salim, an eleven year old elephant, killed his keeper. The elephant picked up 39 year old caretaker G?nter Lenz and slammed him against the wall of the elephant house. The caretaker later died from his injuries. Pictured: Salim the elephant
