Vigoro - Informative sketch of full International Match

Vigoro - The Game. Invented by London-based Englishman John George Grant, Vigoro is a fast-paced hybrid sport designed to combine elements of cricket and tennis. The game was once proclaimed The World's Exercise, aiming to offer Healthy Recreation to all. This informative sketch portrays an imaginary game between England and America, providing insight into players field positions - including the dual role of wicket-keeper and bowler. The image reveals the game's novel equipment: a netted frame for a wicket (later revised to six stumps) and rackets used for bowling, batting, and fielding. While Vigoro failed to achieve long-term popularity in England, it found a lasting home in Australia, where it has been played for over 100 years
