Sewell: Having first played in the vibrant cricket scene that flourished across India, Sewell achieved a notable distinction by scoring three consecutive centuries - the first batsman recorded to have accomplished such a feat in the country. Upon his return to England, he entered first-class cricket with the London County Cricket Club, a side established at Crystal Palace around the legendary W. G. Grace. He later qualified for Essex, representing the county between 1902 and 1904. Albert Trott: An Australian who wore England's colours. Born in Melbourne in 1873 he announced himself on his Test debut for Australia in 1895 with bowling figures of 8/43. Still today the best debut figures for an innings. After moving to England, Trott qualified for Middlesex and soon for England. Memorably, on 31 July 1899, while batting for the MCC against the touring Australians, Trott famously drove a Monty Noble delivery over the Lord's Pavilion roof - the only player in history credited with clearing the iconic structure
