Dud corner at The Bois-Carre British Cemetery
Double Crassiers with Bois-Carre British Cemetery visable in the forground.These are coal mine soil heaps which were a feature on the battlefield in 1915 although they would have been much smaller. The Bois-Carre British Cemetery in France which contains 1, 800 burials and the walls commemorate 21, 000 men with no known grave who fell in the battle of Loos in 1915 and later battles at Lys, Estaires and Bethune
