The Strada del Galleria'. Monte Pasubio. This is the original supply route up the southern face of Mt Pasubio - less than 2 ms wide it was used by mules and men and was then replaced by the 52 tunnels of the Strad del Galleria'. This supply route leads to the Refugio Papa on Mt Pasubio and was constructed in 1917 and then via a series of tunnels to the Italian positions on the summit. 5th Engineering Regiment built the next core section of the trail, called Strada delle Gallerie (road of tunnels) under enormous time pressure in only 11 months
