Fields of Battle, Lands of Peace - St. Mihiel
German trenches and bunkers: entrance to a German dug-out in the Bois le Pretre, near Pont-a?a-Mousson. Literally Priest's Wood or, Priesterwald in German. Very heavy fighting took place here beween September 1914 and July 1915, involving the French 73 and 128th Infantry Division (the Wolves of Bois-le-Pretre) and the German 121 Infantry Division. The wood was finally captured by the American 90/Div on Sept 13th 1918
