Gravestone of German Reservist, Heinrich Peper who died at the first battle of Mons in 1914. Peper is burried at the St Symphorien Cemetery in Belgium which was established by the German Army for both German and British Soldiers who had died at the battles of Mons. Almost unique in its mixture of German and British graves, St Symphorien contains the first and last soldier to be killed in WW1
