Hellblast Corner, Zillebeke, Ypres. Looking south east across Zillebeke Lake from northern embankment where there were many dugouts. The Ypres Salient in south-west Belgium was bitterly contested throughout WW1 but the defining moment came during the awful fight for Passchendaele in Oct 1917
