The Les Fantomes memorial
Les Fantomes is a National memorial to the Battle of the Marne by Paul Landowski who served in 35/RI. Landowski (4 June 1875 - 27 March 1961) was a Polish-French monument sculptor. His best-known work is the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The statues are ghosts rising ferom the battlefield, Young recruit, Sapper, Machine gunner, Grendaier, Colonial, INfantry soldier and an Aviator all protecting a young martyr escaping from his shroud
