Adolf Eugen Fick, German Physiologist
Adolf Eugen Fick (1829-1901) was a German physician and physiologist. He is known for Fick's law of diffusion (introduced in 1855), which governs the diffusion of a gas across a fluid membrane. Adolf E. Fick was also the first to measure measure cardiac output with the Fick principle (1870)
