Deinonychus antirrhopus (counterbalancing terrible claw) was an early cretaceous (115-108 mya) predatory like dinosaur that used its feathered arms and distinctive sickle like claw to pin its prey. Other striking features were the three fingered hands and four toed feet and it is considered one of the closest non-bird ancestors to modern birds
