Albert Michelson, German-American Physicist
Albert Abraham Michelson (1852-1931), German-American physicist, who performed early measurements of the speed of light. He helped to show that light travels at a constant speed in all inertial systems of reference. In 1907 he received the Nobel Prize in Physics
