Auroraborealis
The northern lights, or the aurora borealis, are ribbons of light that appear when solar wind causes disturbances in the Earth's magnetosphere. Coronal holes and coronal mass ejections alter the speed of the solar wind, changing the trajectory of charged particles and resulting in disturbances in magnetospheric plasma
