Boston Massacre, 1770
On March 5th, 1770, five civilians were killed by British troops in Boston after an argument broke out between a sentry and a local merchant. The Boston Massacre was one of many events that eventually triggered the American Revolution. Colorized print of painting by Alonzo Chappel
