Edward Williams Morley
Edward W. Morley (1838-1923), professor of chemistry at what is now Case Western University, who teamed up with Albert Michelson in 1887 to conduct the Michelson-Morley ether drift experiment for which Michelson (though not Morley) won the Nobel prize in 1907
