Elk Hide, Cotsiogo, 19th C
An elk hide painted with scenes of hunters, singers, and dancers, created by the Eastern Shoshone artist Cotsiogo (c.1866-1912), also known as Codsiogo, Katsikodi, or Cadzi Cody. He was known for his hide paintings. He lived on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming
